Information for Speakers

Papers can be submitted thru the General Stream or the Peer-Review Stream. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following deadlines apply for all submissions:

Conference Topics

• Logistics & supply chains  
• Packaging design, ergonomics, & human factors  
• Medical, cosmetic, & pharmaceutical packaging  
• Packaging for food & agriculture  
• Packaging for hazardous & dangerous goods

• Packaging materials  
• Packaging sustainability  
• Packaging standards & legislation  

Since this year’s conference is Member Only, all submitters must be affiliated with a member institution or corporation. 

You must have access via member login to the IAPRI website. If you need to be added as an associate contact from your member university, institute, or company, here is a link to complete that application: Associate Membership Application

You will be sent a welcome email to be used to set up your member login. Once it is set up, you will be able to use the links below to complete your abstract submissions.

The General Stream submission process includes two steps and both steps need to be completed prior to their individual deadlines. 

Step 1: 

• Abstracts are accepted only through online submission tool. 2025 IAPRI Paper & Abstract Submissions
• All Authors should submit an abstract following the "IAPRI 2025 Abstract Template" (template linked below).  
• Abstract should be 200 - 300 words.  
• Only .docx file formats are accepted.  
• Please select one of more of the conference topics (listed above) for your presentation.
• Please indicate whether you are applying for poster or oral presentation. 
• Please ensure all articles are proofread and checked for accuracy prior to submission. Changes cannot be made during the review process. If accepted, minor revisions may be made prior to final submission.  

Step 2 – Full paper submission  

• If accepted, authors must be prepared to submit a full paper following the "IAPRI 2025 Conference Paper - Template" (template linked below).  
• Papers submitted through the general stream will be published in the conference proceedings.

The Peer-Review Stream submission process includes two steps and both steps need to be completed prior to their individual deadlines. 

Step 1:  

• All Authors also should submit an abstract (200-300 words) through the online submission tool and indicate that the submission is for the peer-review stream. 2025 IAPRI Paper & Abstract Submissions
• Abstracts are accepted only through online submission tool. 
• Abstract requirements are identical as for the General Stream Papers.

Step 2: 

• All Authors should submit the full manuscript following PTS Journal Instructions: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/10991522/homepage/forauthors.html
• Authors should select the IAPRI Special Issue when submitting the manuscript.
• Papers submitted through the Peer-Review Stream will be published in Packaging Technology and Science, respecting the journal's editorial policies.
